  • Those who know teach!Parent 02/03/2015
The teachers at CVPA truly know their craft. If you have a student who loves to sing, play and instrument, draw or drama, then Central is the place for your child. But don't be fooled by the Arts, they will receive a solid education. I know first hand that the teachers care about the students and want them to do well. Sending my daughter there was the best choice for us.
  • Best kept secret in the city of St. Louis, for high school studentsParent 02/02/2015
Central Visual and Performing Arts High School is the best kept secret in the city, for those students/parents that are looking for a challenging academic/fine arts experience, with a touch of home. The principal/administrators/teachers/security guards and everyone else that works at CVPA work as a team, therefore, making it the best nurturing environment for the student and at times even the parents. In addition to the strong team work ethic, the students are treated exceedingly well as individuals, unique, talented, and very much appreciated for who they are as well as for how well they perform, both academically, and artistically. I have found that one of the best qualities of all the professionals that work at Central, is their attention and sensitivity to each and every student enrolled. I don't know how they do it, but the results are awesome and spectacular. So, if you have that brilliant son or daughter, that dyes their hair every color of the rainbow, that does well in school, and enjoys a more relaxed, but still structured environment, that is talented, and accepts an array of very different individuals, Central VPA is the school for your child.
