CJ students can participate in EXP3: Exposure, Experience & Exploration. This career exploration program lets students choose a corporation, professional practice or non-profit, and spend a day immersed in that career experience, interacting with professionals and participating in activities. EXP3 is one way CJ is redefining college-prep and expanding learning beyond the classroom with its Corporate Partners Initiative (CPI). The AdvancEd accreditation board recently noted CPI as a “Powerful Practice.”
Cor Jesu is one of the only Catholic all-girls high-schools in St. Louis that has religious Sisters on staff. Eight Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the religious order that founded CJ, work as administrators and faculty, and nine live in the convent on campus. The Apostles live out their charism, which is to Share the Love of the Heart of Christ, serving as examples to our school. Faith is at the center of all we do, and having the Apostles guide us in that journey is important to CJ’s identity.
With students in 64 zip codes, there are many opportunities for carpooling. Cor Jesu provides lists to help students find transportation to and from school. For students living in the St. Charles County area, a daily shuttle service is available to and from Cor Jesu each day. The 14-passenger bus is driven by a Cor Jesu employee, who picks up the students at a designated area in the mornings and takes them back in the afternoons. Students may register for one- or two-way service for an annual fee.
Cor Jesu students live in 64 different zip codes and we have students from 102 elementary schools (parochial, public, private and home-schooled).
58% of students from the Class of 2018 earned Bright Flight Scholarships, based on their score of 31 or higher on the ACT, or 800 or higher on the SAT in both Critical Reading and Math.

Special Education: Cor Jesu has a Student Learning Center to reinforce classroom instruction and to provide academic support for our entire student body. In addition, students with disabilities work closely with the learning consultants and are provided extended time and a quiet environment for testing. The learning consultants work closely with classroom teachers to ensure student success.
Parent Involvement: There are many opportunities for parents to get involved at Cor Jesu. CJ has a Father’s and a Mother’s Club, and many parents serve on various administration committees. Also, we are fortunate to have parents who volunteer their time at events such as the Auction, alumnae events, working in the bookstore, and more. Additionally, CJ Parents can serve as coaches and mentors to our students through our Corporate Partners Initiative. Parent involvement is key to Cor Jesu’s success!
