I went there for all of my elementary school life. It is easy to make friends and everyone is friendly. I am about to be a freshman in high school but I attend Mckinley CJA. Going to Dewey has really prepared me for life. I absolutely miss it, I wish I could go back. They took away some of the best teachers tho.

But, more importantly my daughter loves this school. This is not a language immersion school. PreK-2nd grade each of the languages (Chinese, French, German & Spanish) are taken quarterly similarly to the way an art or music class is taken and a focus is chosen in 3rd grade. We applied for Kindergarden last year and the lottery was not scary. We were wait-listed the first round and admitted the second round. No stressing everybody out over gifted tests. Our PTO is on the smaller side, but we are always looking for volunteers and we have a great group of dedicated and determined people with a master plan that really care about where the school is going. Always moving forward and doing so on a limited budget, and I have a lot in common with that.
