  • Surprisingly Impressed!Parent 02/14/2017
We recently toured the school as our son is currently a student at Wilkinson and Humbolt is the school he is scheduled to matriculate to. There were several things that impressed me. First, the teachers and administration are clearly engaged with each student and have every intention of creating success. The music room and music teacher were extremely impressive. They have keyboards for each student to learn piano along with several other learning opportunities. They have an excellent reading program for kids who need a little extra help and they said they are having huge successes in bringing up test scores. The Friday clubs give the kids a chance to try something new and I think is an important part of a well rounded education. This school is an option for us where it might not have been before. My only concern is the lack of diversity. The school doesn't really represent the make up of the city as a whole. I'm not sure why this is. Additionally, the school would benefit from a stronger PTO.
  • Take A Tour!Parent 10/26/2014
My husband and I came for a tour to check out the downstream school for Wilkinson which is were our son currently attends. Wow!!! We were so impressed!! We met two wonderful ladies, both named Ms. Williams and they were so warm and welcoming! The school has such a positive atmosphere and the kids were very polite and engaged in learning. We love Wilkinson and it seems that the great things happening there are being carried on at Humboldt! Go check it out for yourself, I don't think you will be disappointed!!
  • LOVE this school!Parent 09/12/2014
Don't let the test scores scare you away. My son attended this school and was well prepared for advanced math in middle school. The principal is extremely dedicated to student achievement. The staff is excellent - so caring, nuturing, and professional. Check out this amazing school! You won't be disappointed.
