KIPP stands for the Knowledge is Power Program. KIPP Victory Academy is located in the West End neighborhood and is KIPP St. Louis' first elementary school. We are adding a grade per year, eventually serving grades K-4.
Housed in the Mitchell School, named for two brothers, Joseph Everett Mitchell (1876-1952) and William Mitchell (1878-1945), founders and publishers of the St. Louis Argus. Joseph was a veteran of the Spanish-American War.
Teachers conduct homes visits with new families to establish a relationship and meet parents before the school year begins.
Rigorous K-4 instruction developed for the learning level of each student

Gifted Education: KIPP offers an acceleration program for students that need gifted services
Special Education: Services that are provided to a student are based on their evaluation and disability. Some of these services are specialized instruction in reading, math, or writing with a special education teacher. Other services provided are considered related services. Related services are services that are supportive services or activities necessary for some students with disabilities to maximize their educational outcomes.
Parent Involvement: Parent volunteers, Community & Parents as Partners Program (CP3), Family Saturdays
