  • Mallinckrodt serves as one the two certified gifted public elementary school in the St. Louis region offered by the St. Louis Public Schools.
  • Admission requirements:
  • Starting 2014-2015, Mallinckrodt is embarking on a new school wide initiative in Problem/Project Based Learning and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • For the 2017 school year Mallinckrodt Academy received the National Blue Ribbon School Award. Only 2 school received this honor in Saint Louis and 8 throughout the state of Missouri.
  • Extracurriculars: Robotics, Seed To STEM-Gateway Greening, Chess
  • Gifted Education: Student must achieve eligible scores on tests administered by the SLPS Gifted Testing Office. Minimum eligible scores are 125 on an IQ test, and 90% on academic achievement tests.Gifted forms must be returned 1 week after submitting application.

    I believe the gifted portion of this school had it first class of 3rd graders last year, so these test scores are not an accurate reflection.
