    McKinley has had a few rough years, but tone has changed and things are improving slowly but surely. The leadership is much more in tune with what families expect. Your child can get a good education here, but keep your eye things... and speak up!

    Among the students, we get the sense that everyone belongs. While many students matriculate here from Kennard, our child did not, but immediately found friends and integrated.     My son came from outside of SLPS to McKinley this year, and he has very much enjoyed his classes and, especially, making many new friends!
