There are over 22 languages spoken at Nahed Chapman New American Academy and 33 countries represented. All students are newcomer refugees and immigrants. All staff ESOL and/or content area certified. All subjects are taught in English with the expertise of a certified ESOL teacher. An Academic Instructional Coach enhances the instructional program by working closely with teachers to push effective teacher to the next level.
Provides students with accelerated English training, an introduction to the US culture and school. The ESOL Bilingual/Migrant Program is on sight and provides bilingual assistance, parent support, curriculum materials, social services, technology, after school tutoring.
The NCNAA support staff includes counselors, social worker, Family and Community Specialist, PBIS Intervention Specialist and Teacher Assistants. The NCNAA school nurse meets a vareity of health needs through local partnerships. Students receive immunizations, dental, vision/glasses, and physicals at school.

Parent Involvement: Parents may complete a volunteer form and assist in classroom, library, computer lab, international garden, classroom celebrations, PTO, and on field trips.
