  • Worth the price!Parent 02/13/2017
My second child to have gone here is about to 'graduate'. I honestly don't believe there is another school in St. Louis that could have offered my boys the education they received at New City. My oldest is an 8th grader at John Burroughs and is doing great! Children leave this school with an... More
  • A truly incredible place!Parent 01/17/2017
We could not be more impressed with New City School! They have the highest academic standards, yet make learning fun. They have great kids, great parents and most importantly great teachers and administrators. Both my wife and I are products of public schools. In addition, we live in a great public... More
  • You have to visit this schoolParent 01/11/2017
A few years ago my wife and I decided to take a look at New City School. We were a little apprehensive at first about the price but decided to schedule a time to visit and take a closer look as we had already visited a few of the public/charter/gifted program schools around our neighborhood (Soulard... • Seeing is believing why kids & families love itParent 01/09/2017
New City leads the way in progressive education geared to the needs of each kid. Rigorous academics in a highly engaged, energetic, joyful environment. Other schools talk about diversity but New City lives it. Secondary schools love New City kids because they are comfortable in their own skin, understand... More
  • The community sold meParent 04/09/2016
My daughter attended New City 5/6 (K) - 6th grade and I can't say anything but good things about it. The multiple intelligence approach to education and their dedication to it in every facet is unparalleled. The community sold me though. Every parent is 110% invested in their child and it shows. The ... More

A wonderful, rigorous, joyful learning experience for all my children.
  • Great Fit for our family and kidsParent 10/13/2014
I have three kids at New City and they are all thriving, each in her or his unique way. The entire administrative staff, including the head of school, is always accessible, always ready and willing to listen, and genuinely interested in every child and their progress. No school is an art gallery; every... More
  • I wish I went to New City School!Parent 10/08/2014
We feel incredibly lucky that our kids go to New City School. It's a place that allows kids to be kids while giving them the best education possible.
  • A good fit for our familyParent 10/06/2014
New City has been a great fit for our family - they work hard to create a sense of community. The emphasis on diversity was important to us - they help kids understand that they are similar to and different than people all around them and that it's important to talk about and understand those similarities... • Doesn't walk the walk Parent 09/11/2014
This school used to have a great rep for being progressive, but the kids are actually on a fast-track to Harvard. We had a nightmarish experience there. Despite the exorbitant price tag, our child got a lot of "it'll get better" and not much caring action from the teachers and administration. We switched... More
  • Love it here!Parent 09/04/2014
