  • "Pamoja Preparatory Academy strives to be a global model of African-centered teaching and learning."
  • Pamoja - Swahili for "together" - is modeled after similar programs in Kansas City, Detroit and Los Angeles, where African-centered schools have been popular and are growing.
  • Cole School named for Richard Hill Cole (1855-1927), a teacher in the St. Louis Public School system for fifty years.
  • Enrollment for Pamoja is not restricted to neighborhood boundaries. All students living in the city of St. Louis are eligible to apply.
  • Students have an opportunity to learn no only what other students are learning in all of the other schools across the United States but also learn about the history, culture, and identity of multiple groups of people acrose Africa and the diaspora
  • Extracurriculars: Football, Soccer, Baseball, Volleyball, Basketball, Boy/Girl/Cubscouts
  • Parent Involvement: Parents are required to attend a parents orientation to learning more about the school so that they get an opportunity to learn more about the school.
